About KQ9P

Greetings from Mike, KQ9P! I first held a Novice ticket in 1971, but then drifted away from amateur radio for over four decades. I got the bug and passed my exams in 2013. I am interested in QRP, stealth (of necessity), satellites, digital modes, emcomm, and pretty much everything else. You’ll mostly hear me hanging out on 40, 20, and 15m in the PSK hotspots.

I presently serve as the ARRL Assistant Emergency Coordinator for Albemarle County, VA (http://www.aresd3va.org).

I am also an ARRL VE. See http://www.arrl.org/volunteer-examiners (http://www.arrl.org/volunteer-examiners).

To pay the bills for all this amateur radio activity I run my own IT consulting outfit here in Charlottesville. For more information go to Goozbazi LLC (http://www.goozbazi.com).
